应徐殿国教授的邀请，我校客座教授Robert D. Lorenz将于5月31日起在我校进行系列学术讲座，讲学内容涵盖电机及驱动、电力电子技术等方面，欢迎全校师生参加。

Robert D. Lorenz是美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校电气工程系教授，是国际公认的电机及电力电子学术领军人物，威斯康星电机及电力电子中心（WEMPEC）主任（Co-Director），WEMPEC是世界最著名的电机与电力电子研究机构。Robert D. Lorenz教授在交流电机驱动控制及电力电子技术方面的学术研究处于世界领先地位，他所提出的一些先进控制方法体现了现代电机和电力电子系统控制的发展方向。在学术研究方面，Lorenz教授在电气工程领域著有多部具有广泛影响的学术论著，主编过多本教材，在IEEE会刊及重要学术会议上发表学术论文三百多篇，拥有24项美国发明专利，共获得过26个IEEE授予的重要奖项。Robert D. Lorenz教授是IEEE Fellow，长期在IEEE主要学会及多个国际学术组织中担任包括主席等职务，担任过2005-2006年度的IEEE Division II Director，2001年度IEEE Industry Applications Society主席，获得2003年IEEE IAS杰出成就奖、2006年EPE PEMC杰出成就奖和2011 IEEE IAS杰出贡献奖等荣誉。

题目：Sensor and Active Control Integration Technologies for Reliable Power Electronics & Drives

内容介绍：Sensing and control integration in motor drives and power devices is a major opportunity to achieve higher levels of reliability. To achieve the next level of integration, solutions that cross technology boundaries and are intrinsically multi-functional will be required.  This approach which integrates design-for-sensing and active control-for-reliability will become the norm. This presentation will focus on the critical elements of the new multi-disciplinary integrated sensing and active control paradigm as it applies to both machine and power devices used in motor drives and all forms of power conversion equipment.
