POSITION: Field Applications Engineer

Responsible for performing duties to provide technical support to Keithley personnel and customers. Provides customer and sales force assistance by answering questions and resolving technical issues regarding performance and applications. Provides Keithley marketing and sales personnel with technical support for the promotion and sales of existing and new products. Provides customer feedback to Keithley to improve existing products and influence development of new products.

 

 

 

1) Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.

2) Five (3) or more years of experience of related industry.

3) Device Physics knowledge.

4) Have DC test and measurement knowledge.

a) Low current (~pA/fA) measurement skills and knowledge.

b) Low voltage (~nV) measurement skills and knowledge.

5) A working knowledge of C & Windows.

6) Must be able to operate independently and work from a home office.

7) Will be expected to support all Keithley’s instruments, especially high end SMU’s (2400, 2600 etc), device characterization systems (4200 etc).

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must be willing and able to travel nationally and occasionally internationally. This travel may be up to 100% of the time for short periods, but would average between 50-75%.
